Eto'o among candidates for Golden Foot

MILAN - Inter's Cameroonian forward Samuel Eto'o has been shortlisted for this year's Golden Foot award.

The annual award is given to players over the age of 29 who stand out for their athletic achievements (both as individuals and team players), for their personality and for the esteem of the public and football experts.

The winner is chosen from a shortlist of ten players decided by a jury consisting of the Golden Foot media partners and fans from all over the world who express their preference through the official Golden Foot website.

Each winner leaves a permanent mould of his footprints on the Champions Promenade on the seafront of the Principality of Monaco. Therefore, a player can win the Golden Foot award only once.

Four ex-Inter greats are among previous winners of the Golden Foot award: Roberto Baggio (2003), Giacinto Facchetti (2006), Luis Suarez (2008) and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (2009).
